First sorghum pressing at Sebastopol Energy Garden #1

We harvested most of our sorghum, amounting to 132kg (290lbs). This clip shows the first moments of using an old sorghum mill borrowed from Mendocino county. The device is called a Chattanoog No 12, and was designed in the 19th century to be turned by horses. Not having any to hand, we had to make do with humans.
